We’re officially over halfway through January and it feels like it’s speeding by, which is very un-January-like if you ask me. I’m not sure what changed, but I’m definitely not complaining.
Bill has officially enacted his annual No Spend January policy at the Hoover house, and I’ve never been happier to have a stash of gift cards. To be clear, this policy applies to anything that isn’t a true necessity. Luckily, my Ulta gift cards came to the rescue! I used them to grab some drugstore makeup and now I’m anxiously waiting for the package to arrive so I can try everything and report back with my favorites.
Update on the Brick: I am loving it. I started using it on January 9th and I’m averaging 11 hours and 7 minutes of blocked screen time during the day. Not to be dramatic, but it kind of feels life-changing. I love being back in charge of my mindless scrolling… even if I need a little help. One important note: you have to be physically near the Brick to unbrick your phone, which hasn’t been an issue for me. If you’re curious, here’s a link for 10% off.
I’m also somehow keeping my inbox clean and organized and honestly, I feel like a BOSS. That said, my Photos app is absolutely out of control. Please tell me one of you has cracked the code on organizing and cleaning that up. Seriously, please share!
I had the best time giving a presentation on clean beauty this week. It also made me realize I haven’t shared the app I use when I’m checking product ingredients. So here it is if you want to check it out too!
Currently on a little hair journey: no bleach, lots of care, and focusing on growth. It’s early, but this hair mask is already a favorite. Once a week = super soft, shiny hair (and it smells amazing).
Oh! I finally found the culprit behind my crazy face allergy, and this cult favorite is not for me. After another dramatic reaction this week, I’m honestly just grateful to know what’s causing it and even more grateful for these skin saviors.
That’s a wrap for this week. The boy headed back to school yesterday, and we’re back to empty-nest life. Hope y’all have a great week. I’ll be over here hunting for forgotten gift cards.
xxoo,
Tiff
